Master's courses
By Kate

Clip to ScrapBook
I am getting my Master's in Reading and Literacy through Walden Univ. out of Minn. You become part of a group (there are six other teachers at my school doing it also). Walden sends each member a set of tapes, books, and study guides for each class. We meet twice a week during school for about an hour to discuss what we have read. Sometimes we have a group response to do together and also a written application we do by ourselves (so there are two papers, usually one page each to do for each section (there are twelve sections to each course) During the summer we have met once a week. The tapes show leading instructors in their field and the books have been outstanding. You can also do this course on line if you don't have a group to do it with.
