Helpers Last 1/2 a year

I allow the students to each choose 3 jobs they are interested in and print them on an index card in order of preference. Then, I make sure to give everyone one of their preferences. I have the students keep their jobs for 1/2 a year. This way there is no confusion as to who does what and they get better at doing and remembering to do their part. This has worked well for several years. In addition, I have an Absentee Assistant, one boy and one girl, to fill in if someone is out.
