principals
By Carson

Clip to ScrapBook
Since when is it the principals job to keep YOUR class in line? My principal frequently walks the halls and stops in random classes to see what teachers and students are doing. I would never instruct my class to sit silently
whenever he walks in because that is not what he expects. He expects to see my kids actively engaged in whatever lesson we are doing that day. My class is under control because I have gone over my own expectations with them and constantly review and set examples of what I expect. My class loves when the principal comes in because he sits down in a group and actually works with them
on whatever it is they are doing. They don't fear him (which is what it sounds like you are saying kids should do/feel when the principal walks in the room) Take responsibility instead of passing the blame.
