Make up packet

I assign buddies in my classroom. Each week students are paired with a new buddy. This buddy is their partner for any activity I do for the whole week. When a student is absent, their buddy collects all needed books, worksheets, and handouts and puts them together. This works quite nicely and students are always willing to help out.
