There is a great lesson plan at this web site about students daily adding clues to a mysterious picture that everyone has to figure out what it is. Check out Teacher section for lesson plan and Student for handouts. They also have links in Social Studies for Native American stories.

Email if you would like some Word Doc's I created.I also have a two page Word file for Paul Bunyan, a Paul Bunyan lesson plan I developed for a teacher evaluation, a Tall Tale Language Arts handout to help the students get started. It worked great, as the tall tales they wrote were highly developed using the handout. Francie
