Strange Science, Tall Tales, Mysteries of the World
By Francie

Clip to ScrapBook
There is a great lesson plan at this web site about students daily adding clues to a mysterious picture that everyone has to figure out what it is. Check out Teacher section for lesson plan and Student for handouts. They
also have links in Social Studies for Native American stories.

Look for "Strange Science"

I also created a research report assignment regarding the Strange Mysteries of the World. I have a list of different mysterious things and I had the students check

out web sites to decide if they should believe the info. or not.
Email if you would like some Word Doc's I created.

I also have a two page Word file for Paul Bunyan, a Paul Bunyan lesson plan I developed for a teacher evaluation, a Tall Tale Language Arts handout to help the students get started. It worked great, as the tall tales they wrote were highly developed using the handout.
