You gained alot of wisdom

in your teaching career. I don't know Jay and I haven't responded to his posts, I've just read them and I don't think Jay is at the same point you are. As teachers it's our job to offer constructive critism or help to students
all day long. I think when we have it turned around on us, it's hard to take at first. But eventually you realize that people are trying to help you so that you don't make the same mistakes they did. I'm happy to hear that you are going into the new year with a can do attitude. I too had a hard year last year. I had 3 thug wannabes that gave me a fit. I became very unpleasant

and cranky. I have decided to become a kinder, gentler, (not touch feely, that's not my style )teacher this year. I just didn't like how I was last year. This will be my fourth year teaching and I've experienced many swings in my CR management style. Hopefully, I"ll find one that is me.
