    When I did this, my color cards were in library pockets. Are yours? If yes... you can try this I got from another teacher.

    I reduced a blank monthly calendar (Mon. - Fri. only) to a small enough size to fit on the front of the pocket (about 3"X3.5" I think). Each month I filled out the calendar with the appropriate dates. Then I paper clipped them to the front of the pocket. At the end of each day, the Behavior Chart Helper would mark an X with a colored marker (whatever color the student ended up on that day). At month's end, I affixed the little calendar to pre-made parent letter that explained what each color meant. Those who remained on the good behavior color all month received something extra (lunch with me ticket, a free ice cream or popcorn ticket, etc.) affixed to the letter as well. Parents had to sign the letter and return. When they were returned I put them in the student files.

    I hope you can get somewhat of an understanding from this.
