I found my rocking chair unfinished at a local furniture store about 7 years ago.. It was during one of those sales where they advertised specials to get people in off the street then sold you something else also. Watch the sale papers and then go in with blinders on!!!LOL
Might try an unfinished furniture place...not at all hard to put a sealer or some paint on..Try Target, WalMart, Kmart, used furniture stores etc.
I saw a neat idea for an Author's Chair just using one of those plastic Chairs..The teacher had written "Author's Chair" across the back and then written thea names of promentnt children's authors on each of the upright spindles. Cute! and Cheap! Maybe a parent would even donate one free and for my classroom "Free is my Friend".
