3rd grade

I'm not sure if this helps any, but I can try. I've taught 3rd grade in Oregon for 3 years (prior to that K and 1st). What subjects are you concerned with?

Our S.S. is Communities, we generally do alot with our city,
state, and move on to the nation. We spend quite a bit of time on our immediate community, the stores, jobs, etc. that it has to offer.
Science we usually cover the Solar System and Life Cycles. We do month to 6 week units on each, and then I generally wind up the year with a science experiment fair, where students create (with my help of course!) and perform their own science experiment.
Reading

we have a Basal,

Writing I do Step up to Writing which introduces paragraph structure and we just go on from there.
