Budget crisis
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
I take it from your posts that Oregon is in a budget crisis similar to that of Tennessee. Early this summer the state gov't partially shutdown. Only thing running was emergency workers and even they were cut to a skeleton crew. Half of all the gov't workers were laid off. Some districts laid off non-tenured teachers and/or assistants and/or created a hiring freeze. The "plan" the gov't came up with is only temporary lasting only a year. It's really scary when you think about it. Are there any other states have budget problems??
