How about integrating Leggos? Students can plan or design a structure, make drawings, etc. They can estimate how many blocks of each type they'll need (windows, doors, wheels, etc). Then they build their design & compare
what they estimated to what they actually used. Provideing all those leggos in school may not be possible, but I'd imagine that most kids would have some sort of leggos at home, but perhaps you can have them work as teams so they can pool resources, etc. Structures can be put on display, etc.

Other ideas:Estimate how many leggos I can grab, then compare to actual amount. How many

leggos are in the jar? Count leggos, sort leggos, use leggos in place of cubes, rods & 100 cubes. Measure things with leggos.
Hope these ideas get you started!
