Camp
By Peggy

Clip to ScrapBook
We do a "camp" theme at the end of the year for one day . We use a tent for the "reading center" where we share stories, chants, etc. We made a fishing pond with poles and magnets and cardboard fish. On the fish were tasks to complete such as count by twos to 50, say your favorite nursery rhyme, etc. We made friendship necklaces out of shoestring licorice, cereal and lifesavers. One group made s'mores for the class. The overall name for the day was Camp Read-A-Lot. Hope this gives you some new ideas!
