lighthouse theme read aloud

I read your posed ? and responses...I don't have any suggestions for you on that matter...but...do have one for read aloud. I read _The Islander_ by cynthia rylant ott my class they loved it. We wrote messages and put them in bottles placed them about the building many of the students got responses. Great book!
