reading several books
By Martha

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree that most kids can handle more than one book. I do a read aloud, we do a shared story daily, the children have a SSR book and I require at home reading 5 out of 7 days a week. This year my 4th grade students will be logging in their at home reading each night on a calendar that will be handed into me at the end of each month. We have a 25 book standard that each child must reach and my students have alwasy been eager to reach it by reading several books at one time.
