This is my 1st year at a new school and some simple questions that are helpful include:

1. Is there a set discipline policy?
2. How many field trips are allowed and do they go as grade levels?
3. Do they require cursive handwriting specifically?
4. Do they require pen or pencil specifically?
5. Do they suggest a certain amount of homework?
6. Are classroom pets allowed?
7. Do teachers have a set amount of money to spend?

I'm sure there are more, but I wrote those down to remember to ask another teacher before school starts.
