A few more questions.

You may want to ask for a copy of the sixth grade curriculum. We have a little booklet that goes home to my fifth grade parents. It is our fifth grade curriculum. That way you can see what the students need to be introduced
to or master by the end of sixth grade.

Also, in my school, we get a certain amount of money (not a lot) to order class supplies. You should check to see if your team members have already done this for you, or if you need to do it.

Ask for a parent handbook as well.

I would contact some of your team members and ask them if they want to go to lunch. That way you can pick their

brain, as well as, get to know them.

If you are able to go in your room now, I would recommend going in now and start setting up. I started going into my classroom last week. I only go in twice a week for a couple of hours. My goal is to have my room finished by the end of July. That way I could be a little less rushed in August.

Hope this helps a little bit.
