6th graders are the best

I teach 6th, 7th and 8th at a K-8 school and I find my 6's are much more
work-oriented and not as caught up in social concerns and "being cool" as my 8ths.
Maybe it's the group I have (2 classes of each) but I find the 6's are still eager to
please and as a young first-year female teacher, I get more respect from them. In
fact, I love 6th grade because they are full of energy, keen on school, and yet have
a developing sense of humor!

I could say it any better myself. 8th and 9th graders require a no nonesense coach type of teacher.
