Snack Time
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
Yes, we do have a snack time - 10:15

Each family signs up for a week at a time. I thought my parents would hate this but they LOVE it. With 20+ kiddos in a class, they have a snack week every 2 months. They can bring
the whole week at a time (I have a fridge) or each day. I do not have the problems of kids forgetting -

As far as special snacks to coordinate with study. I will either tell the parent I will provide sanck that day, OR tell them IN ADVANCE what I was thinking of and more times that not they are excited to contribute. I also let parents know the themes ahead of time and many times

THEY come with with their own ideas of how to coordinate snack with school!

I also ask parents to limit the 'sugary' snacks to ONCE a week. I give a list of suggested snacks at the meet the teacher night. I list ideas like -

Carrots and ranch dip - MY KIDS LOVE THIS
Apples and peanut butter
Dried fruit
Sausage and cheese pieces - ANOTHER BIG HIT
And of course jello and pudding always please

Hope this helps . . . .

Blessings
Kim
