Back to School Night

Clip to ScrapBook
Well, I am first year teacher as well. I am doing a "meet the parents" next week and am VERY nervous about it! What I decided to do was write up a one page letter of sorts just so they can have something on paper. I told
them just a little bit about myself (about 2-3 sentences) and then told them some things we would be learning in each subject (i.e. In Science we will be studying: 5 senses, animals, our bodies, etc) Then, in the next couple of paragraphs I wrote some things I felt about the classroom as a whole. (i.e. I think it is important for children to work together in groups, I think communication
between the teacher and the parents is key to the student learning, etc). Then, I ended the letter with a nice quote I found. I figure I will give them this when they walk through the door and then just talk my way through it and answer any questions. Anyway, this is what I am planning on doing. I hope this helps a little bit. Good luck!
