Welcome to the board and this profession!

I think that subbing is a great idea for you to try, as soon as you can. It gives you a better sense for where you would like to teach, and why. When I first started subbing,
I thought I wanted to teach at the high school level. I ended up teaching first grade, and I love it. You find out a lot about yourself when you sub.

The ProTeacher site is great for lesson plan ideas. It's my primary source when I'm stuck for an idea. Here are some other sites you can use, especially when you are trying to figure out lesson plans that work.

You can find Lesson Planning on the menu to your left.

http://www.educationworld.com Scroll to the bottom and click on Subject Resources to find lesson plans for specific subjects.
