Centers
By Jodie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! Last year i taught Grade 6 LA and Social. We did centers in LA when we were studying Greek Myths. One thing I found is that by Grade 6, kids are likely to choose socializing groups rather than working groups, so for centers, I told them we would be picking numbers to make our groups but I reserved VETO power to make changes as I saw fit. Important to let them have a friend in their center, but be careful! I gave them one 45 min class per center and 2 "catch up" days to finish whatever work they didn't finish (6 centers total). Hope that is a little bit of help!
