My sister did the alternate route to get certified and didn't have to student teach at all. We live in Mississippi, so I guess it just depends on where you live. I'll talk to her and see if she can suggest anything. I'm surprised they won't count your teaching for student teaching since you're in the right grade level. Did you mention it to the principal and see if she/he can suggest anything?
