Personally I think around age 22 or 23 is a good age for marriage - but I
As far as dating - I would think it would be a good idea to date a few people before making a committment to marriage. While there are those who marry their "first" love and have a great marriage, I would think more would have problems down the road. No one wants to be married to someone who thinks what if.... everytime there is a conflict. Marriages do not just happen either - both people in the marriage have to be willing to work things out. Many marriages that have fallen apart for my friends could have been saved I truly feel if they had at least been willing to talk it out with a professional of some sort. I've also got friends who did save their marriages because they did get counselling. And of course there are some who just have good marriages to begin with because they do talk and share what they are feeling honestly with their partners. And marriage is not for everyone - I'm not married yet myself and may never be. I do not think anyone should get married just for the sake of being married. And no one should get married just to have kids. I think marriage can be something wonderful if it is shared between two people who truly want to spend the rest of their lives together.
