    I teach fourth grade and agree with the above posts. In addition, mental math skills need better developing. It would be helpful if students had better understanding of the 5's and 10's relationships, etc. Their basic facts both addition and subtraction should really be mastered as well as having a firm grasp on the multiplication concept.

    In terms of reading and writing....PARAGRAPHS!
