Wow, I like the biome idea! I just have one idea, for the beginning of school. You could do a bulletin board of a large tree in 3-D by twisting up brown butcher paper for the trunk and branches, with green butcher paper for the leaves. Then, you could take a picture of each student on the first day of school and then attach the pictures to leaves, or maybe to animal cutouts (bird, squirrels, etc) that you could put on and around the tree. Then, if you want to keep the tree up all year if the biome theme is going to last that long, you could alter the tree to match the seasons.
