pdf files
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
pdf stands for portable document file. The most common are the ones created with acrobat reader as far as I know. I do not believe you can create a pdf using regular word programs, you would require another program to do this. Likewise to read most pdf files you need to have the Acrobat Reader downloaded to your computer.

I did a search on pdf and there were quite a few sites on the subject including several with information on MAC computers.

As far as sharing information with others - with most word programs you can save it as an earlier version which would be compatible with most computers.
