    Good luck, Deni.

I did a little sub'ing for summer school; 1 day for a middle school math class and 2 days for K, 1 & 2 elem.; the later also having 2 hours of 10 or so Pre-K kids. A few feisty ones coming into that school's K in the Fall!

Other than that I'm madly trying to teach myself the fine skills of bathroom remodeling - including tile setting. Also evaluating several programs for getting a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) certificate. My wife and I are giving thought to moving to Mexico in several years and I'd like to do some TESL/TEFL teaching at the elementary level, at least part-time.

Wisconsin has a shortage of TESL teachers but our Wis. Dept. of Public Instruction does not offer much flexibilty on licensing anyone without the education coursework and I'm not sure if it is worth the time and money for me to take virtually a 2nd degree just to get certified for WI's K-6 requirements. I'll be 56 in Sept. and must evaluate the $$$, too.

Best for the summer to you and all the others; obviously our posting activity has dwindled but I look forward to interesting threads again as the school year starts.

Best, Ken in WI (No, I was NOT at that wild All-Star game at Miller Park in Milwaukee; what a message to youth to see beered-up fans tossing bottles, etc. on the field after the game was called in the 11th inning. Dominates our local news today.)
