Westing Game

Every year I do a unit on Mysteries with my fourth graders. We read mysteries, write mysteries, and solve a murder mystery. I use the Westing Game as a read aloud. This year I used the book on tape. Each student had a copy of the book and they followed along with the tape. It was a nice change of pace. They really seemed to enjoy it. We also kept a chart of the characters and the clues. It seemed to help with the confusion.
