Mysteries
By Lori 2

Clip to ScrapBook
My kids have loved the Sammy Keyes Mystery series -- she's kind of a hard boiled Nancy Drew.

Also you could call From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiller a mystery and it's a Newbery to boot.

Another great Newbery for your better readers would be The Westing Game by Raskin.

A really good historical mystery set in the Northwest is Ghost Canoe by Will Hobbs. It's one of my favorites.

My fourth grade daughter absolutely loves the Chet Gecko Mysteries by Bruce Hale. They have alot of puns and humor in them and she will roll on the floor laughing reading them.

That's all I can think of this early, but if I think of some others I will post.

Lori
