Homework
By Patsy

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach fourth graders and have been very successful with getting my students to do homework. It is incentive based, but it does work. At the beginning of the six week, I pass out a 100 box grid. They can be found at any teacher's store. It's just a sheet of paper with 10 rows and 10 columns. I also have various types of stamps, smiley faces, A+,etc...When I take up homework, I give 1 stamp in the box for each assignment completed. When the page has been filled, the students get to trade the page in for incentives. (Anything from the dollar store that you think students will like.) They keep them in a folder and when parents show up, they love to show their homework sheet off.
