    Speech Idea - Hats!

What about centering your speech around the many different roles a teacher plays in the education of a child, all of the "hats" a teacher has to wear during the course of a school year. You could gather lots of different hats and put them on during your speech as you talk about all of the different things a teacher has to do......nurse's hat (for the care and first aid), fireman's hat (putting out the "fires" in students, parents, colleagues disagreements), policeman's hat (discipline), baker's hat (cooking up good ideas to use in lessons), etc. You could end with wearing one of the multi-colored Dr. Seuss type hats and saying something like educating a child involves having a mix or "rainbow" of different qualities and traits, and all of these help to ensure children get a quality education......I feel like I'm rambling here. Does this make ANY sense????
