My teaching partner and I use the word primediate to describe 3rd Grade! We are definately stuck in the middle, but I think it's a great place to be!To be honest, the grade we collaborate most with is Kindergarten. They are our reading buddies. The mix is perfect! I tell my 3rd graders that they are minnie teachers when we go down to K. They are teaching those Kindergartners concepts about print like you wouldn't believe! Plus, when they read TO the Kindergartners, we work on fluent reading, expression, etc. It's a win-win combo!
