Getting To Know You Activities

I was also looking for new activities for getting aquainted this year as well and came across this great idea. You put mesages on little slips of paper around things that students have to do. Such as tell you partener two things about yourself, if you could be anything in the world what would you be, This summer I wanted to go ____ but I went ______ instead. Things like that. Place these little slips inside balloons and blow them up the day before school. Then once you take roll, lunch count, and introduce yourself you let the children pick a balloon and pop it. Then they have to do what the paper says.
