Clip to ScrapBook
Verbally tell her that you want her to succeed and will be available to her for any of her concerns or questions so that she can succeed. Let her know your expectations right away. In some way make her feel like she won't be stepping on your toes if she wants to try something new or different. I know when I student taught I was always fearful of stepping on my mentor's toes. Just be friendly and helpful.
