Sixth grade
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Katie,
It's recommended that sixth graders read a minimum of 30+ chapter books thru out the year. Using one class set for the first time thru would make modeling reader's workshop and literature conversations easier. But beyond that, there are specific criteria necessary for literature conversations, plus you need to know your student's strengths and needs in order to plan for small guided reading groups. The book, GR & W will give you lots of support, mini lessons, routines and procedures to be successful. I hope you'll join us to read it together. ;-D
