"5th grade Science and Social Studies"
By Tabitha

Clip to ScrapBook
It would depend upon your state standards and your districts curriculum. In my state for 5th grade in science we teach ecology(biomes, predator/prey, food chains and webs, how each ecosystem depends upon the other, how living
things depend upon non-living things as well), mixtures & solutions (basic chemistry), Motion & design (Force, Energy, Gravity, etc.), also the Skeletal system and other systems of the body.
In social studies we start just after the revolutionary War and go up until the present day. I have to teach government, Industrial Revolution, Slavery, Civil War, Reconstruction, Expansion out
West, Immigration, then WWI,WWII, The Cold War, and finnallt touch on some other countries. I find that I can only get to immigration by the end of the year.
