Houghton Mifflin
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! Well, to be honest, I'm going on my fourth year of teaching and we've always had Houghton Mifflin. It's all I really know. We are adapting new textbook which we'll get the following school year and we chose Harcourt
& Brace.
Houghton does give a variety of workbook pages which differentiates for the different levels. There are 3 different workbooks: Reteaching, Use what you know and stretch your thinking. So, you have the kids who need extra help, those who have it but need practice and the ones who need challenged. That is one thing I definitely like about it.
Our series is a bit older.
I know the newer series now come with software. That might be something that would interest you.
As for the website, I teach in a very affluent area where parents are extremely involved. I give the parents the websites for use at home. I also let the kids go on it who finish their assignment in computer lab.
Hope that helps!
