The Great Gilly Hopkins Issue
By Tabitha

Clip to ScrapBook
If you are that concerned than I would recommend you type up a letter telling your parents why you think it is such a great piece of literature and let them know about your concerns. Let your parents decide if it is right for their children. If they don't have any problems then use the book. If only a few do, then let those children read another book while you use this one with the rest. I always check with my parents before I use a book that might be a touchy subject or possibly cause me a headache. Just a thought.
