Class Meetings

Maureen,
A companion book to Marvin Marshall could be Positive Discipline in the Classroom by Nelsen, Lott, and Glenn. That was my last summer's read on discipline and it really going into a lot of detail about conducting| a class meeting and its benefits. As I have been reading the Marshall book this summer I can see how the two dovetail one another beautifully. I have based my class meeting format on the PDin the C book because until recently that was what I had. Adding the levels of behavior, the essay, and the other form at the back of the Marshall book I think will add the muscle that was missing | |
previously and take away the stress---that's my hope. Check it out and see what you think. I'll keep you posted on my plans for implementing this. Good luck.
