earth's layers

Something I did as a volunteer for my son's class was to have them make individual desserts showing the earth's layers. I used different textures of objects (pudding, jello, jawbreaker for the center, etc...) and they layered them in small bowls. While they were eating them, they colored them on handouts to have for their binders.
