multiplication facts
By mamie

Clip to ScrapBook
Children are supposed to have learned their multiplication facts by the third grade. But bless the third grade teacher's hearts their curriculum is unbelievable. They can only do so much. I teach 6th grade and the children
do not know their facts and what's worse they don't care. So I set out to make them care.
We drill everyday, over and above our curriculum. I teach a self-contained classroom and I can interject little lessons throughout the day. The children and parents understand from the very beginning that if their child does not know their multiplication facts through the twelves and are
unable to use them they will not pass the 6th grade. I have used this method for years. IT WORKS!! No one wants to be left behind, and they can't continue in the 7th grade without them.
