ladybugs

We did a short unit on ladybugs (one of our reading books has ladybugs on it). I found several ladybug books & read to them. I found a wooden ladybug that got to sit on the child's desk for the day (good behavior, good listener, etc.). I've seen stuffed ones too. For poetry go to www.CanTeach.ca/elementary/songspoems39.html. We also did creative writing with a ladybug as the main character. Also go to EnchantedLearning.com and type in ladybug and you will get the life cycle and different puppets to make. Can't think of a cute title for you...Ladybugs all dressed up and going to second grade! or Ladybugs are flying to second grade! Hope this sparks some ideas for you.
