In no particular order... * read AR book (or anything if AR goal has been met) *take AR quiz *update reading log * use computer if it's your assigned day * do your class job (some things can be done at any time) * fill out assignment book if you haven't already *work on writers' workshop story *conference with me if needed *redo or catch up on any necessary assignments *practice math flash cards * organize binder *write a letter to someone who does not go to our school * make a puzzle *give yourself or a partner some practice math problems That's about all I can remember off the top of my head. As I said, it's nothing special. I just found with my group last year, that they would sit and talk or distract others when they were finished.
