I'm flattered

Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught for eight years and I have attended the state science teacher's conference each year plus conferences at Space Center Houston with NASA. As a result (plus being a pack rat) I have collected a large library
of science activities.

The biggest influence on me, though, has been the woman who was head of the science department when I began teaching. I have inherited her philosophy that the best way for students to learn science is for the teacher to give them the opportunity to do science and then stay out of their way and let them experiment as much as possible. Our program is very hands-on.

That

woman has since retired, and I am now the science department chair. I intend to continue with her philosophy and to spread it whenever possible.

Thank you again for your kind comments.

John
