ability grouping
By MaryM

Clip to ScrapBook
Let me throw in my 2 cents. I am taking a grad research class this summer - the research indicates that ability grouping does NOT lead to academic achievement in lower level minority children. What does the trick is small, mixed groups (ability) and peer tutoring. Research shows that not only the tutee makes gains, but so does the tutor. It is hard to argue with academic research!
