math about my life
By Hermie

Clip to ScrapBook
I always set aside one bulletin board for Student of the Week. This meant that the b'board was constantly changing and I didn't have to do a thing.

What if students could post "math about their life." This could be done a couple of ways. First, they could just post things that related to math -- picture of their 4 dogs, 2 sisters, their birthdate, etc. OR, they could create riddles or word problems about their life. They could post the problems, with the answers (such as the picture) covered. Students would guess and could check their answers. If you were the first "student of the week" and modeled this, I think the fifth graders would run with it!
