Hello stranger

Clip to ScrapBook
If you rethink Social Studies and Science by integrating it as much as possible you'll have more time. You can do a reading strategy lesson on a SS or Sci piece and continue with a guided practice during Reader's Workshop. The kids can be doing research as part of Writer's Workshop.
I too, did much of my word study at a different time, usually when we started our day. What really kept me on track was posting the schedule for the day on the white board. The kids liked to know what minilessons were planned and kept me on track.
