picture books

Clip to ScrapBook
I use picture books for teaching skills in reading. For example, questioning. If you look in the back of the book it gives you picture books you can use to teach questioning.
I do an author study on Chris Van Allsburg who has written unbelievable picture books. Some are: The Sweetest Fig, Jumanji, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick (great for story starters).
I also like The Butterfly by Patricia Polacco. Hope that gives you a few ideas.
