Picture books

I love using picture books and I feel that they have great value at any level being taught! I recently completed a children's literature course that even stressed the importance of using picture books to introduce mathematics skills. You can access a list of "math literature" and the skills for each picture book at: pbskids.org/cyberchase. It's under reading list!
