Storage
By Karen

Clip to ScrapBook
I learned this idea for storing math manipulatives at a math conference. Each kid has a "math kit" that has counters, dice, a judy clock, base ten blocks, etc. in them. Whenever we have math and need manipulatives, they get their numbered kit off the shelf (these are in plastic shoe box containers). It saves me a little room because it organizes my manipulatives and you could have them keep their box in their desk - just tell them it is their responsibility to keep up with what is in their kit. I think it cost me about $20 to get the boxes at wal-mart - enough for a class set.
